Pharmacology includes everything related to the origin, manufacture, negotiation, physicochemical and biological properties of drugs, including the effects of animal and human disease processes. Manufacturing and negotiation is generally referred to as pharmacy, so that the pharmacology in a narrower sense includes studies on the use of drugs in the treatment of disease (pharmacotherapy).
