Formålet med undervisningen er at give en introduktion til læren om og anvendelse af biologisk variation hos mennesket og det genetiske grundlag herfor.

Der undervises i følgende emnegrupper: Menneskets arvemasse, monogene sygdomme og deres arvegange, kromosomsygdomme, genetisk variation, kortlægning af menneskets arvemasse, cancergenetik, multifaktorielle sygdomme, befolkningens arvemasse, forebyggelse og behandling af genetiske sygdomme.

Kurset i prænatal diagnostik og neonatologi afholdes i slutning af studiet, som et integreret undervisningsforløb mellem pædiatri, gynækologi/obstetrik og genetik.
Det er hensigten, at kliniske, terapeutiske og diagnostiske forholdsregler indenfor dette område præsenteres samlet.

An excellent site. This page has a community-fed forum of molecular pathways. Within each category there are numerous pathways to choose from. Each representation of a pathway is shown by description and dynamic graphical models which look very good. The number of pathways is large, there is a search engine for pathways and an option to submit one.
